102nd Indian National Science Congress 
National Council of Science Museum's exhibition at Hall of Pride in 102nd Indian Science Congress hosted by University of Mumbai. Designed, developed and installed by Nehru Science Centre, Worli, Mumbai. The exhibition was conducted from 3rd to 7th January 2015.

Inauguration of Hall of Pride by Hon'ble Minister Shri Harshavardhan - Ministry of Science and Technology. State Education Minister for Higher Education - Shri Vinod Tawade, Dr. R.A. The exhibition 'Sir M Visvesaraya - The Legendary
Nation Builder' and the JSW-NSC Annual Lecture Series 'Iron and Steel Heritage of India'

Nehru science Centre inaugurated the exhibition 'Sir M Visvesaraya - The Legendary Nation Builder' on 15th September 2014 and organised the JSW-NSC Annual Lecture Series 'Iron and Steel Heritage of India' supported by the JSW Group. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Anil Kakodkar, Member of AEO & DAE Homi Bhabha Professor and Mr. Sajjan Jindal, chairman & MD, JSW Group and Mrs. Sangita Jindal, Chairperson JSW Foundation were the guests of honour.

In the lecture series, four lectures were organised as follows:
1. September 22, 2014 - 'Heritage of Iron Metallurgy and its Survival today' by Prof.Vibha Tripathi - Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi.
2. September 25, 2014 - 'Our Iron Heritage: The People and The Technology' by Prof. N.B.Ballal - Dept.of Metallurgocal Engg. & Material Science, IIT Bombay.
3. September 29, 2014 - 'The legendary wootz / 'ukku' steel: Exploring production landscapes in southern India' by Prof. Sharda Srinivasan - National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bangalore.
4. October 7, 2014 - 'The Magnificient Iron Pillar' by Prof. S. Ranganathan - Indian Institute of Science, NIAS, Bangalore.

Capt SUNITA WILLIAMS – an Indian American astronaut visited Nehru Science Centre

Capt SUNITA WILLIAMS – an Indian American astronaut and a United States Navy Officer, who holds the record for the longest space flight by a woman and also the record for number of spacewalks for a female and most spacewalk time for a female, visited India (1st to 4th April) on an invitation from the National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. She has addressed school students at three different Science Centres of NCSM namely at National Science Centre, New Delhi (1st April), Science City, Kolkata (2nd April) and Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai (4th April). She has also addressed the Press and has interacted with them in all these places.
